औरत

रेगिस्तान की तपती रेत पर
अपनी चुनरी बिछा
उस पर लोटा भर पानी
और उसी पर रोटियाँ रख कर
हथेली से आँखो को छाया देते हुए
औरत ने
ऐन सूरज की नाक के नीचे
एक घर बना लिया |

Amidst the desert
She laid her dupatta
on the scorching sand.. 

Put a small pot of water
With a pile of chapatis over it..
And..

By soothing her burning eyes
with the palm shield
She.. the woman
built a house
right below 
the fiery sun
